Harris' Earliest Watermelon
The originator of this Melon (Mr. B. F. Harris), says: “For 20 years we have been trying to find an extra early watermelon, with which we could beat all competitors, and one that would be the first on the market, and at last our efforts are crowned with success. We have never seen its equal.” The general shape and appearance of the Harris are shown in the illustration. The skin is mottled with green and white. The flesh is red, sweet, juicy and crisp.
