Early Jersey Watermelon
One of the earliest varieties grown. Above the medium size, oval-round, dark green, striped with lighter shades. Flesh scarlet, solid, fine-grained, very sweet and juicy. A most excellent variety, either for market or home use. The rind is quite thin, but it bears carriage well.
