Dakota Sweet Watermelon
If there is any better melon for the Northwest, we haven't seen it. Of Russian origin, its outstanding qualities caught the eyes of Prof. A. F. Yeager. Similar to Northern Sweet. The melons weigh from 9 to 14 pounds; the thin rind is medium green with darker stripes; and the flesh is bright red, crisp and very sweet. A heavy cropper and very carly, ripening in 9 to 10 weeks. Melons should be picked as soon as ripe. Pkt., 10c; oz., 20c; 1/4lb., 60c; 1/2lb., $1.10; 1lb., $2.00, postpaid
