Melons seldom over 12 inches long and 9 inches in diameter, but what they lack in size they more than make up in number and quality. Rind green, striped with a lighter shade. On account of the thin and brittle rind, Cole's Early is not suited for shipping. Flesh bright red, crisp, delicate texture, juicy and sparkling. In flavor it is lusciously sweet and refreshing.
