Seven Top Turnips
A variety of turnip grown entirely for its tops, which are used as a salad. It produces no edible root. This is a very hardy sort, standing through the winter south of St. Louis without any protection. Largely grown as greens in the South, where it is handled and cooked in a way similar to Spinach.
