A recombination of a number of smut-resistant selfed strains. This corn has been developed for earliness, drouth resistance, vigor, smut resistance, short shanks and the characteristic of two ears to a stalk. Our stock seed was obtained from the Bureau of Plant Industry, Northern Great Plains Field Station, Mandon, N. Dak. It is far ahead of any other Golden Bantam we have seen.
