Large White Russian or California Winter Radish Radish
The largest of all the winter sorts. From seed sown in June ( for winter use the latter part of July is better ) roots can easily be raised to weigh three pounds each. To obtain the best results the soil should be made rich, light and friable. In the absence of rain, water freely. For winter use, pack the roots in earth or sand out of danger from frost. Immerse for a short time in cold water before using. To be used as a salad or served in all the ways of the spring and summer radishes. Pkt., 5c; oz., 15c; lb., postpaid, $1.00
