The heads are globular, extra large and very solid, light green outside with clear yellow heart, very tender, and of finest flavor. Its most valuable characteristic is its extremely rapid growth, its large heads being developed quicker than any other, either in frames or out-of-doors. Pkt. 25c.

The outer leaves are light green tinged with reddish-brown, and are handsomely savoyed; the inner leaves blanch to a rich golden yellow color, are very tender and of sweet, buttery flavor. It attains a size suitable for use before any other large heading variety and the solid heads stand shipping well.
