Early Prizehead Lettuce
This old standard variety is still the best of the large, thin-leaved, clustering sorts for the home garden, but it is not a good kind to ship. The leaves are very large, crimped, bright green tinged with brownish red at the edges and are exceedingly tender, crisp and sweet, forming a large, loose head. Stands a long time without going to seed. Is known throughout the country and highly prized by every planter. Ready for table use in 45 days. Pkt., 5c; oz. 15C; ¼ lb., 40c; lb., $1.25, prepaid.
