Detroit Dark Red Garden Beets
(Perfected Strain) 52 to 55 days. The standard of excellence in table beets for home and market garden, for shipping, and for canning. Tops uniform, small, slender, erect. Roots globe-shaped; symmetrical, with small collar and small tap-root; very dark blood-red. Interior very uniform in color, the zones so inconspicuous that the flesh seems to be one solid ball of deep blood-red meat; remains tender and of highest quality until roots are full grown.
