Improved Long Green Cucumbers
Uniformly large fruit of good form. Vines vigorous and productive; fruit fit for table nearly as early as shorter sorts. Fruit grows about 15 inches long, is slender, pointed on both ends and covered with warts and spines. It remains dark green till ripe when it turns brown. Flesh is of the finest quality, highly valued for slicing. The young fruit makes the best pickles and when ripe is preferable to any for sweet pickles. Improved Long Green Cucumbers
A well known valuable variety with fruits from 12 to 16 inches in length of superior quality. Flesh is very firm and crisp, the young fruits used for pickling and the full sized cucumbers for slicing and making the so-called Sweet Pickles when the fruits are ripe and yellow. 70 days.
