This is one of the most popular varieties for winter use. It is a very good keeper and properly stored can be kept until late in the winter or even until spring. Giant Pascal is of vigorous growth, making large, heavy, thick stalks which remain green until blanched by some artificial means, either by earthing or storing for the winter. It blanches to a creamy yellow when the stalks are quite brittle, entirely stringless and very crisp. I have sold large lots of this seed to market growers, who report excellent results.
