Oxheart or Guerande Carrots
One of the most valuable and popular varieties. When fully grown the type is about 5 ½ inches long, 3 ½ inches thick at the shoulder and about 2 inches thick at the bottom. With bright orange flesh, fine grained and sweet, it is of fine quality for table use and equally good for stock. It is very easily dug or pulled and is probably our heaviest yielding carrot.
