Early Winnigstadt Cabbage
This variety, all things considered, is the best in cultivation for general use. It comes both early and late,is remarkably solid and hardy even in Summer, and keeps well in hot or cold weather. The heads are regularly conical, exceedingly full of excellent quality.

The heads are of the same size as the Jersey Wakefield, but more sharply pointed and not so early. The leaves are rich dark green, slightly glossy, most tightly folded, the heads being the hardest of any early cabbage. Should the soil of any of my farmer friends be of so sandy a nature that they find it extremely difficult to perfect any variety of cabbage, before bidding a final farewell to the cabbage family I would advise them to try the Winnigstadt.
