Extra Early Egyptian Beets
One of the most desirable extra early table beets. It is an improvement over the well known Crosby's Egyptian, being equally as early, but larger and more round in form. The roots run uniform in size and shape, have small tops just right for early bunching. The flesh is deep red, sweet, tender and of excellent quality. Extra Early Egyptian is fit for the market earlier than most other kinds. It develops its fine turnip shape already in the early stages of its growth and on that account it is also preferred to most other kinds which take a much longer time to grow to a proper marketable form. Extra Early Egyptian is one of the best beets to grow for the market. It is a sure money-maker for the gardener. Pkt. 4C; oz. 12C; 2 oz. 22C; ¼ lb. 40C; ½ lb. 75C; lb. $1.40.
