Black Queen Beet
We have not often had occasion to bring such a good garden beet as this to the notice of the public. The root is medium-sized, pear-shaped, well-formed, nearly buried in the soil; its flesh is of a black-red color; the leaves are large, broadly crimped and of an extremely deep-red color. The fine roots it produces, together with the ornamental character of its foliage, will surely give this variety a prominent place amongst garden beets. Pkt., 10c; oz., 30c.
