Martha Washington Asparagus
This variety is the result of careful breeding by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington D.C. With the object of eliminating rust. It produces large straight shoots of a dark green color. The tips are tight and firm and do not open out or begin to branch until well out of the ground; a very valuable feature.
