Giant Half-Sugar
The roots average ten to twelve inches, and the outline is that of a broad, thick wedge. The upper portion is of a soft bright pink, shading lighter toward the bottom where the lower portion for about one-third the length is white. Golden Tankard
A smooth, yellow-fleshed mangel; the roots are of large diameter, tapering quickly at the bottom, which is quite broad, with only a small tap-root. Lane's Imperial

Mammoth Prize Long Red
This is the heaviest cropping and largest of all mangels. The roots grows from one-half to two-thirds above the surface and are frequently two or more feet in length by six inches in diameter.
