Deitz Long Berry
A new variety of winter wheat grown from the best sample of many imported by our predecessors, R.H. Allen & Co., twenty years since for Mr. George A. Deitz of Pennsylvania. This is a red, hard wheat, with large well filled heads, on a strong pruple straw very hardy, and very prolific. We strongly recommend it. Per bushel $4.00.
Fultz
A beardless amber variety, grown largely in some sections of Pennsylvania, and with very satisfactory results. It is very hardy and productive, and the straw is of medium length and very strong; it makes excellent flour. Per bushel $1.75.
Landreth
We offer this new bald wheat which was introduced about three years ago, as being the best White Winter Wheat in the market. It is early, hardy, vigorous, stiff in the straw, and less liable to rust than others and yields large crops on every variety of wheat soil. The grain is large, plump, and makes a fine quality of flour. Per bushel $1.75.
Martin Amber
Rural
Mediterranean Hybrid
A cross between the Diehl and Red Mediterranean, having the stiff straw and compact heads of the former with the beards and blue straw, and superior flouring qualities of the latter. It is remarkably hardy, withstanding very severe winters, better than most varieties, and is said by the “Rural New Yorker”, to be the hardiest and most prolific wheat in cultivation. Per bushel $1.75.
