Carpinteria Pole Lima
A most desirable pole Lima for the home and market garden. The vines are strong growing, long, usually closely filled with four beans of largest size, much thicker than the average pole Lima. When cooked, the beans are very thin skinned, extremely tender and of finest flavor.
Challenger Pole Lima Bean
(Fordhook Pole) A potato Lima. Plant vigorous, hardy, good climber and very productive. Pods straight, smooth. Seed large, almost as wide as long, flattish oval, with greenish tinge. 90 days from planting to picking stage.
Florida Buttered
(Speckled Pole Lima) A certain and abundant cropper, better adapted for wants of the Southern farmer than any other variety. When gathered green, beans are waxy white; maturity, white splotched with red.
Giant Speckled Butter Pole
Plant tall, vigorous climbing, heavy yielder. Seeds are very large, buff spotted and blotched with reddish brown. Mammoth pods with seed rather thick and about twice the size of Florida Butter or Speckled Lima. This seed is very scarce and only a limited quantity available.
Seibert's Early Lima
Well adapted for market garden and for early shipping. Plant large, erect, prolific. Very attractive, oval pods, nearly straight, dark green, entirely stringless. Seeds oval, solid black. Length of pod 6 ½ to 7 inches; ready to pick about 49 days after planting.
Willow Leaf Pole
The best small seeded white pole Lima or butter bean. Vines are of large growth, very early, hardy and productive. The leaves are willow-shaped. Resistant to drought.
Wood's Improved Pole Lima
(Butter Bean) Remarkable prolific, a continuous bearer and easy to shell. The pods are produced in clusters, and it is not uncommon to find clusters of pods ready to pull at one time. We strongly recommend it as a distinct and valuable improvement in pole butter beans.
