Clemson Spineless
Developed by the South Carolina Experiment Station. A very uniform spineless strain of the Perkins long-podded type. Plant has less foliage than Perkins; pods rich green, straight, ridged. Recommended for home garden and shipping.
Dwarf Green
An extra early maturing variety. Very productive. Plants are more dwarf in habit of growth than those of other varieties. Pods short, deep green, slightly corrugated, tender and of good quality.
Dwarf Green Prolific
One of the earliest and most dwarf growing sorts. The plants are from 2 ½ to 3 feet in height, and set pods very close to the ground and very thick on the stalk. We have seed from 30 to 40 pods growing on stalks 3 feet high. The pods are green, tender, long, fluted or corrugated, and of good quality. A good shipper and fine for canning and home use.
Dwarf Long Pod, Green
An especially good home garden sort owing to its unusual ability to remain in prime condition for cooking until quite large. The sturdy plant yields long fluted dark green pods of very good quality. This early and productive sort is also popular for canning.
Perkins' Mammoth Long-Podded
Very productive, pods starting to shoot out within 3 or 4 inches from the bottom of the stalk, and the whole plant is covered with them to the height of a man's head (5 to 6 feet). Pods very slim and do not harden up as is usually the case with other long, slender sorts.
White Velvet Okra
A standard variety; the pods are long, round and smooth. Plant is of tall growth, an abundant bearer; superior quality.
