Though similar to Northern Sweet, we regard it as much superior. The melons weigh from 9 to 14 pounds; the thin rind is medium green with darker stripes; and the flesh is bright red, crisp and very sweet. A heavy cropper and very early, ripening in 9 to 10 weeks.
