Early Type

Emerald Gem
An extremely early sort. The fruit is a rich emerald-green. It is globular in shape and irregularly ribbed. The flesh is very thick, salmon colored, sweet and luscious. Extra Early Knight
The best green fleshed Muskmelon, medium sized, oval, distinctly ribbed and well netted. The flesh is fairly thick, juicy and very sweet, a medium green blending to a light pink near the center. Extra Early Osage
One of the earliest salmon fleshed varieties of quality and one of the best sorts grown. The oval fruit is dark green, slightly ribbed and gray netted, and is from a week to ten days earlier than the old Osage. The flesh is a rich orange-salmon, very thick, juicy and sweet, of very high quality. A grand sort for northwestern conditions; ideal for the home garden and a money maker for the market gardener. Hale's Best
The Earliest and Best of the Rockyford Type. The medium sized, nearly round melons are heavily netted. The deep orange flesh is very thick and of rich flavor. Pkt., 5c; oz., 12c; ¼ lb., 30c; ½ lb., 50c; 1 lb., 95c postpaid.
Lake Champlain or Golden Champlain
A very early variety, medium sized, round, heavily netted and moderately ribbed, with thick spicy orange flesh. A heavy yielding quality melon for home and market garden.
Oro Blanco
At last a Persian Melon or Casaba that will mature in the North. From 5 to 7 inches in diameter with golden skin, the white fleshed melons are delicious when dead ripe. Pkt., 20c; ½ oz., 75c.
Sugar Rock or Honey Rock
This is one of the most delicious melons and very productive. The medium-sized, round, heavily netted Melons are of uniformly fine quality with very thick, sweet, orange flesh. The most profitable market variety.
Zephyr
An Early and Heavy Yielding Oval Orange Fleshed Melon developed by Dr. A. F. Yeager at the North Dakota Experiment Station. It is a bit variable in type, but a very heavy yielder.
