Chinese or Celery Cabbage
Resembles celery, yet is something like Cos Lettuce. Firm, crisp, easily blanched, excellent as green or salad. It is a delicious new vegetable, healthy and tasty either raw and cooked. Do not sow seed earlier than July 1st in rows 2 and ½ feet apart and thin to 18 inches in row. If sown early, it runs to seed. 60 days. Pkt 5c; oz 35c.
Copenhagen Market
Early round-headed Cabbage from Denmark. Heads very solid and compact, fine grained and tender. A vigorous grower and good keeper. Matures 75 days. Pkt 5c; 30c.
Danish Ballhead
Hard and compact, and without doubt the very best for winter storage, keeps in first-class condition for a long period. It is a sure header and always meets with a ready sale. Is especially recommended for growing for market purposes in the Northern states. Matures in about 120 days. Pkt 5c; 25c.
Giant Flat Dutch
A very compact grower, forming large, solid heads, bluish green in color with short stem, heads flat on top without tendency to burst. A fine, late Cabbage, ready in about 115 days. Pkt 5c; oz 20c.
Golden Acre
Extra early, good variety. Head begins to form when the leaves are no larger than a saucer, and its development is very rapid; perfectly round. Very solid. Matures in 70 days. Pkt 5c; oz 30c.
Mammoth Rock Red
The largest of the Red Cabbages and the most sure-heading variety; also the best for pickling. The heads are round and very solid, the very attractive red color extending to the center of the head. Well entitled to its name as it is in reality sure heading, and one of the most reliable main crop, late Cabbages. The King of Winter Cabbage, and we consider the best of large heading, main crop varieties. The solid heads are fine grained and keep well in winter storage.
