Isbell's New Phenomenal
Here is a new and distinct variety that was developed by a veteran Tomato grower, of New York State. Phenomenal is a medium early variety that continues to bear throughout the season. The vines are strong and vigorous like Marglobe. The fruits are nearly round or slightly flattened, of large size, always smooth, ripen evenly and are a bright deep scarlet all the way through. They seldom crack and are extremely solid with few seeds. The flavor is most pleasing, being very rich but not sharply acid. Phenomenal ripens slightly earlier than Marglobe, bears until frost and is an extra heavy yielding sort. It is resistant to both blight and rust. Phenomenal holds its wonderful color and flavor to an unusual degree when canned. Here is an ideal tomato for both home and market. Pkt., 15c; ½ oz., 35c; oz., 60c; ¼ lb., $2.00, prepaid.
Oxheart
This new Tomato has gained great popularity. The unusually mild sweet flavor and the thick, meaty flesh make this a general favorite. Fruits extra large, shaped like a beef heart, of deep pink color, with very few seeds. The large, solid slices are very attractive on the table. For slicing and canning, it is superb. It is a wonderful exhibition sort. Michigan Grown Seed: Pkt., 20c; ½ oz., 45c; oz., 75c; ¼ lb., 2.75, prepaid. “I received your check for my Oxheart Tomato and thank you for this.
