(50 days). This is one of the best beans for you if you live in the corn belt. We have never had a failure with it. Its pods are big, green and showy, with excellent quality and savory flavor. Cherokee
(50 days). A new early wax bean developed by the U.S.D.A. Without doubt, one of the very best . Handsome, straight, 6 inch pods are completely stringless. Fillbasket Pole Bean

Purple Pod Pole Bean
(65 days). This is not a new bean. Henry Field found it growing in some of the neighbors' gardens in the Ozarks. Evidently it was brought form Europe many years ago. The neighbors liked it, and Henry liked it, so he collected a start of seed and multiplied it. We still never have had enough to go around. It grows like Kentucky Wonder. Climbs well, yields abundantly. Meat is thick, of excellent quality, and stringless. Pods are a beautiful reddish purple, but turn a light green when cooked. They freeze well. Red Kidney

Rust-Proof Golden Wax

Seminole
(55 days). Seminole won the All American Medal in 1955, and in government trials proved extremely disease resistant. The vines are vigorous and upright growing, holding pods off the ground. Unusually heavy yielder. Pods are straight, 6 ˝ to 7” long, slender, and deep apple green in color. It is stringless, and has an excellent “beany” flavor. Commercial canners rate it very highly. Stringless Green Pod
(51 days). An ideal family bean and the standard by which all other varieties are compared. It is an early dwarf green bean that bears a heavy crop of choice, plump pods. (51 days). Developed by the United State Department of Agriculture. One of the heaviest yielders and is very resistant to mosaic. The pods are straight, smooth, 5 ˝ to 6” long, filled from end to end with round, mottled brown seeds. Completely stringless, fiberless, and very meaty. High in quality and flavor. Wade Bush Bean
(54 days). The pods, which are kept off the ground because the bush grows upright, are deep green, 5 ˝ to 6” long, round, and slender.
