Australian Brown

Extra Early Pickling

Extra Early Red
The earliest red onion; it matures from a week to 10 days earlier than Red Wethersfield, but is somewhat smaller. The bulbs are of medium size, dark red color, flat, solid, and heavy, of mild flavor and keep well. Giant Red Italian
Produces enormous crops of enormous onions, all clean, solid, heavy and perfect. Sure cropper. A large handsome globular variety; most uniform in size and shape and color; the whole crop produced is just like peas in a pod, all alike. It has a very small neck for such a large onion and the bulbs always ripen up hard and fine; skin blood-red in color; flesh very tender, sweet, of mild flavor and unsurpassed for culinary purposes; a heavy cropper. This is not only the largest red onion but the largest of all onions in cultivation; it frequently measures 6 to 8 inches in diameter and attains a weight of 3 to 4 pounds and more the first year from seed. In its early stages of growth it is light in color, with streaks of white alternated with the red, but as it approaches maturity it assumes both without and within the characteristic red color which has given it such wide flavor and fame. Its productivity, large size, beautiful appearance make it a most desirable onion to grow either for market or home garden. Ideal White Globe
This is the handsomest of all onions. It is of true globe form, pure white, hard, small necked, ripening regularly and evenly; a splendid keeper. The flesh is firm and fine grained, and mild to taste. Average yields of 500 to 700 bushels per acre are of frequent occurrence. No market gardener or onion grower can afford to plant inferior stock, with only cheapness of price to recommend it, when seed like ours is to be had so reasonable, the results of planting a few ounces often paying many times the first cost of the best seed. Illinois Blood-Red Globe
The celebrated Blood-Red Globe Onion. One of the most profitable for the market and shipping trade. Large Red Wethersfield

Mammoth Silver King
The King of white onions. The largest white onion, grows to a remarkable size, average diameter is from 5 to 7 ½ inches. Single bulbs often attain weight of 2 ½ to 4 pounds each. No other white onion attains such mammoth size and these bulbs grow all uniformly to an enormous size. The bulbs are of attractive shape, flattened bu thick through.
