Enkhuizen Glory
A comparatively new second early variety, very sure heading and of excellent quality. Plant of vigorous growth, with few outer leaves. Head globular or very nearly round, very solid and of large size for so early a variety. They are thin ribbed, of pale green color resembling a small Danish Ballhead. Gregory's All Seasons
All Seasons is the largest of the second early sorts and a most desirable one. The plants are very vigorous and sure to head even under the most adverse conditions and remain an exceptionally long time in condition for use; as the name indicates, are adapted for early summer, autumn, and winter use; you are almost sure to get a crop, no matter when planted. It is also considered one of the best sorts for kraut. The heads are very large, nearly round, extremely hard and solid. They are small ribbed and even if planted very late will keep well and are much to be preferred to the big ribbed Winter sorts. Largely grown for the market, but also one of the best for home use. Harvest Home
The dark green color proclaims it a vigorous grower. The stalks are short and it heads up close and solid. Heads average 12 to 15 lbs. New Chinese Celery Cabbage
A most delicious vegetable which combines the rich celery flavor with that of the cabbage. Makes as good salad as the finest lettuce. Excellent when boiled with meat or for vegetable soup, and for cold slaw no cabbage compares with it. Without question a delicious vegetable and a novelty of real merit. When young the plants resemble Swiss chard, leaves being light green and crimpled; when mature the plants form heads like Cos Lettuce, 15 inches high and 6 to 8 inches across, weighing about 4 pounds, and are firm and solid; the heart blanching crystalline, white.
