Best of All
Extra deep dark red, perfect shape, fine keeper, quick grower, best flavor, extra sweet, never woody. This variety was introduced as an improvement in turnip shaped beets for table use and we have, by careful selection, improved each succeeding crop, until we feel certain that it is by far the best red turnip beet in cultivation. The best beet for main crop. A very desirable beet for the market gardener, as it is very smooth, most uniform in shape and size, is very fine for bunching, and its small, upright tops allowing close planting make possible the biggest yield per acre of any turnip shaped beet. Its handsome, dark rich red color and its delicious taste make it also an ideal beet for the home garden. It is splendid for summer or fall use and also for storing over winter. Pkt. 8C; oz. 15C; 2 oz. 28C; ¼ lb. 50C; ½ lb. 90C; lb. $1.75.

The flesh is a deep purplish crimson, slightly “zoned”; this is a finely bred beet, of exquisite quality, sweet and tender. The foliage is small of a rich bronze-purple. In the home garden it is a most excellent sort; for market use as a main crop variety, it is a favorite everywhere. Pkt. 4C; oz. 12C; 2 oz. 22C; ¼ lb. 42C; ½ lb. 80C; lb. $1.50.
Crosby's Egyptian
This is one of the best varieties for forcing. It is also excellent for first early crop out doors, being very early, with small tops. The leaves are dark green, shaded and veined with dark red. The roots are very dark red, moderately thick, a little rounded on top, distinctly flat on the bottom. The flesh is dark purplish red, zoned lighter shade; firm, crisp and tender. A most excellent turnip sort, a little later than the above two kinds with red, medium sized roots. Flesh bright red, zoned with a darker shade; very crisp, tender, and sweet, remaining so a long time. Tops small and upright, leaves dark green shaded with red. A favorite for canning because of its beautiful, very deep red color. Deservedly popular, with market gardeners and one of the finest for the private garden. Very uniform, smooth beet of the darkest color. Pkt. 4C; oz. 12C; 2 oz. 23C; ¼ lb. 45C; ½ lb. 80C; lb. $1.50.

Extra Early Egyptian
One of the most desirable extra early table beets. It is an improvement over the well known Crosby's Egyptian, being equally as early, but larger and more round in form. The roots run uniform in size and shape, have small tops just right for early bunching. The flesh is deep red, sweet, tender and of excellent quality. Extra Early Egyptian is fit for the market earlier than most other kinds. It develops its fine turnip shape already in the early stages of its growth and on that account it is also preferred to most other kinds which take a much longer time to grow to a proper marketable form. Extra Early Egyptian is one of the best beets to grow for the market. It is a sure money-maker for the gardener. Pkt. 4C; oz. 12C; 2 oz. 22C; ¼ lb. 40C; ½ lb. 75C; lb. $1.40.
