Curled Cress, or Peppergrass
This plant is extensively used as a small salad; the leaves, while young, have a warm, pungent taste. Sow rather thick, in shallow drills, and at short intervals during the season.

(Peppergrass or Cress) A water plant with small, oval leaves, much used, and universally esteemed as a wholesome salad in spring. The seed should be sown in a very wet situation or by a running brook, and the plants well covered with water during the winter.
